UK-Belarus Startup Roadshow

Grow Global’s Founder, Sarah Carroll, ran a workshop for Rutech, as part of a roadshow of Belarusian startups in London in February 2018, in association with London & Partners.

8 startup finalists of the BelBiz Battle 2017 are coming to London to meet the local UK tech scene. This London roadshow is organised by the British Embassy in Belarus, Rutech, and startup-hub Imaguru. In London the roadshow is kindly supported by London & Partners and TLA Russia.

Belarus has been on the tech radar for some time now. First, a video filter app MSQRD was acquired by Facebook in 2016 and later in 2017 Google acquired AIMatter, maker of the Fabby computer vision app. Finally, just before New Year the President of Belarus signed a set of laws “On Digital Economy Development”. Adoption of this law makes Belarus the first world’s jurisdiction with the overall legal regulation of businesses based on blockchain technology.
