UKTI Passport to E-Exporting Series: Digital Export Strategy

Sarah Carroll, Grow Global’s founder, ran a series of workshops on called Passport to E-Exporting for UKTI Yorkshire & Humber, focusing in on a strategy for digital export for local businesses.

About the workshop

The Passport to E-Exporting, Export Strategy workshop is your opportunity to focus on developing your online export strategy both in terms of what you want to achieve and how you go about it. Working alongside other e-commerce businesses you will be encouraged to develop a focused and strategic approach to selling your goods and services via online channels to global markets.

You will have the opportunity to address issues related to your global business including online market selection, most suitable routes to international markets (website, e-commerce, e-marketplaces, online stockists, online wholesalers). You will take stock of where you are now, where you want to get to and the hurdles you need to address to get there such as; barriers to entry, customer support, logistics and fulfilment, regulations, tariffs and taxes.

This interactive workshop is an integral part of the UKTI Passport to Export programme and you can expect to come away with new skills and a list of achievable actions that will help you execute the export action plan that you agree with your International Trade Adviser (ITA). The workshop is designed to give you plenty of space to think things through and get your questions answered, to take your online export business forward, with the support of your ITA, the wider UKTI global network and the suite of services available for e-commerce exporters.
